Baby!
So, my college roommate is having her first baby. I finished a blanket - picture soon - and here's the sweater. It's Korrigan (available on Ravelry) and I wanted to try it in cotton (you know, babies) so here is the 3 mo. size in KnitPicks Comfy fingering, ivory.

Another weekend
So, once again, we spent Saturday going hiking and then had BBQ for dinner. Still slowly slogging along on Kinsale and October. I also finished my bag - totally ripped out the embroidery I'd been doing and went with a new color palette, which is much better, I think.
The flower is a trillium, maybe? It was a free form thing I did for fun. I've been wanting to make a bag for a while. It's a little Christmas-y for me, but someone will probably want it.
Now that it's hot weather, I should do that white peacock shawl and dye it before I don't have the sun to set the dye for me. Sigh. Good thing I never try to diet, I'd fail miserably!

Halloween
Nasty, ugly, horrid rasta hat is done! One size fits all -- kids and pets that is.
So I now have an official UGH! on Ravelry! Golly, that thing looks like a mutant candy corn on his head!
In other news, I ran out of beads for the Night Peacock, grrr, so I have to order more. So I've dusted off Putnam's, which I love.

It was finally kind of cool enough to wear this
It's very soft and nice, but my one crack on the yarn is that it's so soft and even that it shows any imperfection rather glaringly. There's one stitch up by the neck and it's impossible to miss. Otherwise, I'd call this one a perfect yarn/pattern match.
Still working on Percy, fast but not very photogenic yet. I'll post some soon.
