Here is a new way to secure steels without a sewing machine. How awesome! Thanks, KnitPicks podcast for leading me to this.

Dang it
Sigh. Not the sweater, I really like that. I'm running out of beads because I didn't use my head at all and only ordered one 10 gram bag. I'm going to get hung up waiting on the rest of the beads to come - and we have 4 games this weekend. Bugger.
Pretty though - I really hope this one works out - for the lovely purple yarn's sake, if nothing else!

Trophy
Just a quick snap before going to a couple games. His club played a world cup the other week and his team won, so they all get to bring the trophy home for a day. Worked on Cecily while watching them win 2 back to back games.

Interesting day
Went to see Van Halen last night, so we took today off. Nice relaxing day - did some laundry and errands, got buttons for Hallett's Ledge, discovered my gauge was all wrong on Cecily and ripped it almost all the way back (sad), and made strawberry shortcake.

Happy Easter
I'm not religious, but lots of people I care about are, so happy Easter!
We're going to Muss and Turner's for brunch.
Tomorrow I'm going to post some pictures of the S4$ on before it goes in the mail.

Never mind the setting
Look at the sleeves - they're going on! I'm picking up along the edges for a three needle bind off. Makes the seam stronger and less visible. Neck is done, now I just sleeve 2 and the sides and to block it! Despite my initial uncertainty about the colors, I really like it.

Cecily jacket
I've been wanting to try a beaded cardigan for ages now and I stumbled onto this http://www.ravelry.com/patterns/library/cecily-jacket
I have enough KP Gloss in concord grape OR pumpkin to make it in my size. Both discontinued colors.
SQEEEE!
Not sure these are the exact beads I want so I ordered a bunch today. Love the seed beads, buy everything you think you might want and still spend $8.00. More soon!

The longest 2 inches
Are always the last of a sweater and the back of the S4$ is no exception. But I will finish that piece tonight.
And we went strawberry picking!
Generally I don't love living down here, it's too hot. But early strawberries? Come on!

Hallett's Ledge
Here's the body of my restful sweater I've been working on when I can't work on the stranded S4$. I really like it, but it seems small even though I got gauge spot on. Maybe blocking will do the trick, I think it will to go by the pictures on Ravelry.

Back
At practice, working on the back of the S4M and indulging in my new lame pleasure. KnitPicks podcasts. If you haven't listened to them imagine Anna Gastyre and Molly Shannon doing "Delicious Dish" on SNL (Betty White episode, Alec Baldwin episode), only about knitting. I'm a little worried that if my spouse finds I've been listening to these, he'll mock me mercilessly.

I want to help you with your dental hygiene
Ah, kitties. They do find floss fascinating.
Still plodding away on the S4$, I'll take it's picture at practice tomorrow. I've finished the body of Hallett's ledge which I love but am unsure if it will be big enough until its done and blocked. Is it me, or does that sort of thing account for 70% of UFOs in knitting baskets around the world?

How dull
It's Hallett's Ledge. I wasn't happy with the way the decreases were working so I'm on my third rip out to get it how I want it. Great if you're watching a movie and can't work on the sweaterformoney, but not super photogenic. Instead of doing a seam of decreases and increases up the side seam that disrupts the rib pattern, I'm bringing the three purl ribs down to two starting by the side seams and working out.
I saw some really nice hand dyed roving and I think I need to start spinning again.

Pieces parts
More than half done with the front of the sweaterformoney ... It's pretty, but it's sort of taking over my knitting life.
